Although Lauren had a long history of fostering and rescuing animals, she told the YouTube channel The Dodo that she thought it was time to quit as her pregnancy became closer. She knew she would not have time after giving birth to tend to her baby because the animals she often looked after frequently got ill and required a lot of care.
Lauren felt secure in her choice before meeting Dove, a pregnant stray cat. She intended to stop fostering, but she connected with Dove right away. Lauren could not disregard the cat’s plea for assistance despite her previous choice. The pregnant, injured cat made her think about her situation. After asking around, they discovered she had spent most of her life as a homeless cat. Lauren chose to foster Dove and her upcoming kittens, breaking her own rules. She desired to assist them all in locating ideal long-term residences.
Dove settled into her new home very quickly. She had to have her kittens here; that much was clear. Lauren and Dove became close even though they were nearing the end of their pregnancies. They enjoyed their time together.
Lauren remembered that Dove would always follow behind her. The cat enjoyed lying outdoors in their private area with Lauren. Together, they ate breakfast as Lauren petted Dove’s belly. They were both happy and comfortable with this routine.

It was time for Maners’s child to arrive. She went to the hospital to give birth to her daughter, Kylie. When she got home, she found that Dove had given birth to her kittens. Maners believed that their birth dates might have coincided.

The chance that Dove and her kittens were giving birth simultaneously surprised Maners—six adorable kittens were born to Dove. Kylie and the kittens enjoyed playing and learning about the world as they grew older.

Maners saw that the kittens showed interest in her when she carried her 5-week-old daughter to assist with feeding and caring for them. Maners’s daughter also attracted her curiosity about the cats.

Before finding the cute family the ideal permanent home, Maners and her family fostered them for months. Though all seven stayed close by, they were sorry not to keep any. They still get occasional visits from Maners and Kylie. Updates are easy to find now that the mother cat has moved in with a buddy. Maners had frequent access to some of the kittens because they got adopted by friends.

In an attempt to assist a mother cat who was expecting kittens, Maners decided to ignore her policy banning fostering while pregnant.
